Ground Development
How would the local community like to see the likes of Liverpool FC, Everton FC and Tranmere FC playing against Maghull in the Liverpool Senior Cup or would you just like to watch your local team in a League or Cup game during midweek under the floodlights, with a nice pie and peas. Does this sound good well it does to us too, but we need help to do this…
The Maghull FC committee have held brief talks on the future of Maghull’s current Old Hall Field ground. It was decided that the club need to again begin to climb the Football Leagues once again and in the process bring higher level football for the fans and the local community, however for this to happen significant improvement needs to take place.
For example for us to progress into the higher leagues our current Old Hall Field ground would need to have the following refurbishment:- enclosement of the ground, floodlights, seated area with covered roof plus various other things. We have also considered a search for a new location.
Maghull FC were one of the original founders of the Northwest Counties Football League, however we were forced to retire from the League in 1999 due to the standard of our ground, we have been unable to advance on the ground since this date.
Please note we are still at the priliminary stages of our potential project, if there is any advancement on the project a full consultation period will take place with local residents and councillors.
If we sit still we won’t advance and therefore we are looking for Target £250,000
