New Badge Launched

As the club continues to grow and progress the committee took a vote on updating the Club Crest for the first time in our history.

The original crest was a derivative of an old Manchester United badge, originally designed by a United fan from within our ranks, simply because the club had never previously had a badge.

The emblem in the centre of our crest harks back to 1665 when the Town of Maghull was presented with a Coat of Arms during the Visitation of the County Palatine of Lancaster. The Coat of Arms depicts a blue Catapult with a gold stone set on a Silver Shield and it is this Blue Catapult that we adopted on our Club Crest in a nod to the Towns heritage.

Our new look badge respects the heritage of it’s predecessor by keeping the colour scheme, Catapult and year of establishment and in a nod to the original badge we’ve even kept the football icons from the United logo!

The round shape of the new badge works better in modern digital environments and also enables us greater flexibility for use on kits and other merchandise that bares the club crest.

We certainly hope that the new badge sees as much success as its predecessor!
